"Tongues, speaking in tongues, gift? Okay, now I am here at this Pentecostal church as they call it. I came not knowing what to expect. Pentecost as they call it seemed a little scarey at first. It seemed everyone was doing it. Everyone had their hands lifted as to be surrendering to something. I could hardly contain myself as that invisible presence surrounded me. I too lifted my hands, it seemed automatic and natural. There was a beautiful cry from everyone that seemed to say "give me more". I couldn't hold it any more. I just let it go and this awesome feeling came over me that I cannot describe! At this time I began to cry uncontrollably and it felt as if a million pounds was being lifted from me. All the fears and worries I came in with were now gone. I felt so much love, real love as I never felt in my entire life! The next thing that happened to me was more than I can describe. As I lifted my voice as everyone else was doing, I felt my tongue trying to say words undetectable. In just a couple minutes I burst forth with the most beautiful sounds I had ever heard. It sounded like a language from a foreign country ( I was told that what I experienced was "the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues"). I did speak with tongues for quite a while and quite honestly I had never experienced anything like it!!!"  Yes, Pentecost is an experience and I like the idea of being called Pentecostal!

Another Friday night at Rhonda’s home for Bible Study and everything is going good. About half way through the study Cecelia which is Rhonda’s mother arrives for the study.

At the end of the study we prayed as usual. Pastor Rhodus asked for special prayer requests at this time and Cecelia gave two prayer requests. We began to pray and lay hands on her. Everyone (six of us) drew near and began to pray for Cecleia’s special requests.

The Holy Ghost came upon Cecelia in a special way and we began praying for her to receive the Holy Ghost. She yielded herself to the Lord and began worshipping. Within five minutes Cecelia began speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gave her the utterance. She was quite intoxicated with the Holy Spirit. She was full of the joy and power of the Holy Ghost!

Pastor and Sister Rhodus arrived for there first Home Bible Study at Brenda’s home. Actually this was the first time meeting Brenda face to face. Brenda had been studying with the JW’s for three years.

After about 1 ½ hours it was time to leave. We stood, held hands and began to pray. Our hands released and Pastor Rhodus laid hands on Brenda and began praying for her to receive the Holy Ghost. During the meeting Brenda had exemplified a real hunger for more of God. A hard life and much sickness in the last few years had taken a toll on her. She was very positive and upbeat even through all she had experienced.

In just a few seconds tears began streaming down her face as she began worshipping God. All of a sudden she burst forth with tongues! In the living room of her home Brenda had just received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost!

Brenda exclaims "this is what I have been searching for, this is what I have always wanted!"

On May 27th 2007 World of Pentecost Ministries had it's official kickoff service which began this new ministry. Since that day we have seen various miracles and healings along with these individuals that have received new and greater experiences in Christ!
